Fishing trip this summer

If you are interested in fishing, the mountains around Jotunheimen are an amazing area to be in, for just fishing.

Jotunheimen are full of possibilities to catch mountain trout, in both rivers and both small and bigger lakes. The closest fishing water is right next to Fjellstua, Nedre and Øvre Halsatjønnen. Here you can find trout just under kilo.

Other possibilities for fishing are of course in Høydalsvatnet and Bøvra, which is the river that flows from Høydalsvatnet and down to Bøverdalen. Here the fish is known to be blue in colour, because of the minerals in the water.

To find bigger fish, you can always try Svartdalstjønne.
