Fanaråken

Fanaråken is a great hike between 5h to 8h round trip. At the top you will find Fanaråkhytta - Norway's highest located overnight place.

Tour starts at Turtagrø where you follow a T-marked path onto the gravel road in Helgedalen. When the gravel road starts to rise, follow the path for a few more turns before taking off. Then follow the path to Ekerhytta. From here, the trail is well marked to the top of the mountain.

 From the top you will get a panorama view over west- Jotunheimen. Many people come here to experience the sunrise. Here you will also see Fanaråkhytta, Norway's highest overnight cabin at 2068 metres above sea level. This is a DNT cabin serviced from early June to early September.
