At the foot of Galdhøpiggen lies a 375 square metre hand-held ice tunnel, filled with ice sculptures and archaeological treasures.

Every day from half July to the end of September, you can be inside the ice.  On the way to the tunnel, you will learn about hunting history, climate change, thawing permafrost, melting snow fountains, and the animals and plants that survive in the harsh mountains.

After the trip, heading into the unique ice tunnel, you will get a closer look at the glacier Kjelbrean. The tours start at Juvasshytta, 40 minutes by car from Jotunheimen Fjellstue.
